Disclosure: Cases are fact specific, and actual results of your case may be different.

David Little successfully represented real estate purchasers in connection with money they lost as a result of a wire fraud scheme. In one of the first such cases in Pinellas County, Mr. Little successfully represented his clients against a title company/escrow agent arguing the agent breached its fiduciary duty and was negligent resulting in the stolen escrow deposit. Our theory was that the escrow agent failed to follow industry best practices and as a result its computer system was vulnerable and resulted in our clients transferring their escrow deposit to a fraudulent bank account per wiring instructions they received from a person purported to be associated with the title company. Case settlement out of court, prior to trial.

Successfully represented a bartender against the owner of the establishment where she worked based on allegations of sexual harassment. Our client was subjected to unwanted physical touching, crude and inappropriate comments, and sexual advances by the owner of the company. The company lacked reputable policies in which she could report the owners inappropriate behavior. Case was settled before formal litigation commenced, for a six-figure settlement.

Mr. Little represented the wife of a former executive accused of embezzling millions of dollars to pay personal expenses and to fund his investments in race horses. After avoiding a federal criminal indictment on behalf of the wife, her husband’s ex-employer decided to sue her ex-husband, herself, and their children alleging civil conspiracy and civil fraud. Case resolved before trial.

David Little successfully defended a nationwide moving company and its local franchisee against allegations of employment discrimination. The alleged victim alleged she was subjected to sexual harassment at the hands of a male dominated work-force. Case was dismissed.

David Little successfully represented the estate of a deceased woman who, prior to her unrelated death, was subjected to physical abuse and negligent training by staff which we argued also resulted in a fracture to her back while in a Pinellas County nursing home. Case was resolved in client’s favor before trial.

Mr. Little successfully defended a college football player against unsubstantiated allegations of domestic violence. The alleged victim sought an injunction against Mr. Little’s client and in doing so accused the player of ongoing domestic violence. The case and injunction were dismissed by the Court.
